"The Scathis also possesses a very long range, originally less than any stationary T3 artillery, it was increased in FA to match that of the Mavor." Sorry I can't catch this word. what is "FA"? And how to increase Scathis attacking range?

FA is short for "Forged Alliance", the expansion for Supreme Commander. You don't have to do anything to increase the range, the unit is just different in the expansion, and can fire over the entire map.
Sorry for confusing you with FA. We try to avoid these abbreviations, but most of our users are too submerged in them. happypal (Talk) 18:57, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

im pretty certin that range is completly wrong... im gonna check it but in FA i remember it being reletivly small. and if it has max range, there is no point in it being mobile. i plan to double check it, but it seems worng. Seraphim20DarkCorhen talkCybran20Dark

I have to agree, I used it on Operation Mindgames not too long ago and it had a relatively short range compared to other artillery of it's class (T3+T4).Marko Ramius 22:39, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

The campaign mode in Forged Alliance uses a (hidden) mod that makes the game play more like the orginal SupCom. Thus, the purported range for the Scathis is correct but only for multiplayer and skirmish games.
I noticed that too. I don't have Forged Alliance yet a SupCom walkthrough I once read stated that in the last Cybran mission (Operation Freedom), a Scathis behind your defenses can hit the Aeon base yet not even T3 heavy artillery built onto the shore can hit the whole base. That was a rude suprise for me...Amitakartok 22:30, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

Why mobile and max range? Edit

Maybe because if combined with a deceiver, it disappears from the map even after scouted? Jasonnorthrup (talk) 23:52, August 22, 2014 (UTC)
