The Seraphim T2 Hover Tank, nicknamed the Yenzyne, is a Seraphim unit. It is a direct fire unit.

Tactics[]

Like other amphibious tanks, the Yenzyne sees less use than the heavier combat units, namely the Ilshavoh Assault Bot. While it is cheaper and also faster, which makes the Yenzyne more useful in niche roles such as harassment, flanking, or to quickly defend a T2 factory under attack, the mass will in most cases generally be more effectively spent on massed Ilshavohs. While the tank is quite capable against a few T1 units such as a drop, the slow RoF on its weapon can be wasteful and less than ideal usage.

Combined arms[]

While there are some situations where this unit can be useful used by itself (despite its weaknesses), it is actually best used as support for the main force of Zthuee artillery (which due to the Zthuee's power, tends to be the case for most early Seraphim units). The Zthuee also hovers, and the combination of units produces a force to be reckoned with. The Zthuees provide area of effect, greater range, and higher DPS, which is enough to compensate for the Yenzyne tank's rate of fire; whereas the tanks provide direct fire against close targets and absorb damage for the fragile artilleries. Because the Seraphim has another hover unit, another addition may be Iashavoh flaks, which may aid the composition by providing Anti-air support. The enemy may be surprised by the lack of Ilshavohs at T2, and be unprepared for an amphibious attack from a sudden new direction.

Factional[]

Like many Seraphim units, the Yenzyne has most in common with its Aeon counterpart, the Blaze, sharing the same build costs and build time (but having a higher HP). Its shorter range and MUCH lower rate of fire (ROF) makes it a pointedly inferior unit, arguably the weakest of the 4 amphibious T2 tanks.

Overall, it's low ROF makes it closer to being an amphibious, non-shielded, low DPS version of the Aeon Obsidian tank.
