I think this alphabetical sorted article is a bit unclearly. Would be a better overview if it would be categorized in Air, Land, Sea and Structures. And I still would prefer to have the unit ids on that overview too (like: UEF T2 Mobile Missile Launcher (UEL0111)). Think that wouldn't hurt the overview but gives a good overview for modders that are looking for the ids. --FatMcK 21:27, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

I think that's a good idea, but I don't know if Category pages can be sorted in the way that you described. --FngKestrel 21:32, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
I think I have seen some similar sorting. Is this page created with categories? http://www.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Help --FatMcK 22:14, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
That help page has pages in the help category, and a list of sub-categories, but that's all automatically generated. I don't think it fits with the way that unit pages on this wiki are in multiple categories. What we can do instead is something like this:
==Fighter Units==
<DynamicPageList>
category=Cybran units
category=Fighter units
order=ascending
</DynamicPageList>

This gives us:

Fighter UnitsEdit

Extension:DynamicPageList (DPL), version 2.3.0 : Error: No results!

Here's documentation on DynamicPageList.

The complete alphabetical list will still appear at the bottom...I'm not sure if there's a way to suppress that. Another minor issue is that units don't have a high level building/land/sea/air category, but rather the more specific categories seen at Unit. --TaviRider 14:39, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Is it possible to give each unit another category (Air, Land, Sea, Structure)? Is it possible to add the IDs dynamical to the unit names? When not we should do it manual. I would do it. --FatMcK 16:14, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
It could be done dynamically without much difficulty. In fact, the information is already in the wiki, it just needs some interpretation in the Unitbox template code. I'll work on that today or tomorrow. --TaviRider 16:57, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
