An anti-air unit, commonly abbreviated AA unit, is a unit specifically designed to target and destroy air units. These come in a variety of forms, from the T1 anti-air turrets to the Cybran T3 Air Superiority Fighter. Different units have different weapons, which are more effective at attacking specific kinds of air units.
Land mobile/fixed anti-air units[]
These anti-air units are generally slow or immobile, and have a variety of weapons suitable for attacking different targets.

These units have a weak direct fire weapon that is most effective versus slow or medium speed units, such as Tech 1 units or gunships.
Tech 2[]
These units have high firing randomness but also have an area of effect. They are most effective against massed units.
Tech 3[]
These turrets have a missile system which is most effective versus high-health units, such as Tech 3 units or experimentals.
Air anti-air[]
These anti-air units are generally fast, with either missile systems or direct fire weapons.
Tech 1[]
These units have a weak direct fire weapon which is most effective versus low-health units.
Tech 2[]
These units have either a missile system or a direct fire weapon effective versus most air units.
Tech 3[]
These units have either a missile system or a direct fire weapon effective versus all air units.
